Mussoorie – The Queen of Hills

Mussorrie is a beautiful hill resort and is known as queen among hill stations. It is a hill resort at a height of 7000 ft from sea level and overlooks a pleasant view of Doon valley and in fact entire Garhwal region. The weather of the place remains almost clear and bright with the presence of wonderful flora there including pine, cedar, birch, oak, rhododendron and deodar.

Apart from the beauty, the place has beautiful picnic spots like Kempty fall, Company Garden and Dhanoulti which are the eye-catching places to spend holidays. The famous market of Mussories is Mall Road where you can dwell and shop for the woolens and antiques. The Jaypee Hotel, is a famous five star hotel of Musoorie where you can experience full comfort and luxuries. You can also find many other beautiful Hotels, Resorts and Lounges to stay.

Another really enjoyable thing that one must do in Mussorrie is a ride in “Ropeway” which is the cable car that carries visitors from the roundabouts and snack bars of the children’s’ playground on the Mall to the heights of Gun Hill. Around its flat top are various snack stalls and many experienced and fine photographers who snap visitors in glittering ‘hilly girl’ costumes, as brigands with fierce moustaches and turbans, and as country-and-western stars with guitars.

The best time to visit this lovely place is both during summer and winters. In summer you can get relief from the hot weather here and can enjoy the pleasant weather and in winter you can enjoy the snow fall all around the place, making the place one of the charming hill stations in India.
